Pawsitter — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Pawsitter has no account, no server of ours, and no analytics. Your progress stays on your device. The one exception is advertising: if you choose to watch an ad to double your coins, our advertising partner receives data from your device. That is explained below, and it only happens when you tap the button.

Pawsitter is a cozy dog-sitting game published by Vladimir Nizovtsev ("we"). This policy explains what the app does and does not handle.

Data Pawsitter stores

Your progress — completed days, stars, coins, hearts, friendship with each pup, purchased gear and decor, and your sound and music preferences — is stored only on your device, in the system UserDefaults store. We have no server and never receive any of it. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Advertising

Pawsitter shows advertising in exactly one place: at the end of a shift you may tap a button to watch a short video and double the coins you just earned. There are no other ads — no banners, and nothing that interrupts you. If you never tap that button, you never see an ad.

Those ads are served by Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), a service of Unity Technologies. When an ad is requested, LevelPlay and the ad networks it works with receive data from your device, which may include your advertising identifier (IDFA), your device and operating-system details, approximate region, and how you interacted with the ad. We do not receive that data and we have no server that could store it. Unity's own privacy policy covers what they do with it: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.

We do not sell your data, and we could not: none of it reaches us. We have no analytics, no crash reporting and no server of any kind.

Buying Pawsitter Plus removes advertising from the app entirely — on a device that owns Plus the ad service is never started, so nothing is sent at all — and you still get the coin doubling, applied automatically without an ad.

Tracking

Before the first time you watch an ad, iOS asks whether Pawsitter may track you across other companies' apps and websites — the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may decline, and the game is unaffected: the doubling button keeps working and you still get your coins. Declining means the ads you see are less targeted. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking.

Reporting an ad

If an ad you saw seemed inappropriate, please tell us — write to the address at the bottom of this page, or use Settings ▸ Purchases ▸ Report an ad in the game. Include roughly when you saw it and what it showed. We pass reports to the ad network, which is who decides what is served.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases (coin packs, the Starter Pack, and Pawsitter Plus) are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple confirms the entitlement directly to the app on your device. A "Restore Purchases" control is available in Settings ▸ Purchases.

Every one of the game's five homes is free and unlocked by playing. No purchase is required to see any content.

Children

Pawsitter is rated 4+ but is not published in the App Store's Kids Category, and it is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has watched ads in the app and you want the associated advertising identifier reset, that is done on the device: iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking, and Apple's own advertising controls.

Your choices

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK and want to exercise a data-protection right over data held by our advertising partner, contact us at the address below and we will point you to Unity's process, since they and not we are the ones holding it.

Changes

This policy was updated on 3 September 2026 when the optional rewarded ad was added. If what the app collects changes again, this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated before that version ships.
